My Wardrobe sale bargain: Ash Wedge Trainers

So, I finally succumbed to the siren calls of the Wedge Trainer and splashed out on this gorgeous pair from the originators of the sport luxe trend – ASH.

My justification? They were a much less eye-watering £87, compared to their full price of £175, in the My Wardrobe sale (they don’t have any left but if you’re quick The Outnet has them at £95).

My other justification is that everyone I know who is shod in a pair of these NEVER regrets it, in fact a couple I know have bought multiple pairs so fervent is their love for the style.

I can see why – I love the tough high-top, suede look balanced with the feminine wedge and pretty plum/stone colourways. Plus, they weirdly make my HUGE size UK 9 feet look really dainty. Even my sister did a double-take today and pointed it out.

So far I’ve been wearing them with my off-duty mum uniform of skinny waxed black jeans, white shirt (always Gap) and men’s cashmere jumper (Uniqlo for a perfect grey marl). I’d like to try them with ribbed grey tights and a chambray shirt dress, ooh or with a black jersey midi dress and denim jacket come spring… See? All the justification I need…

Ha! They’re an Italian brand – the original wedge trainer that was duplicated everywhere last season/this season. I am completely in love with them. x
