Autumnal style for little boys

It’s not just my wardrobe that needs updating this month, Country Bebe is celebrating his first birthday coupled with a huge growth spurt.

As you can see from our shopping list below, CB can usually be found sporting stripes, navy, red/orange and the odd intarsia animal. I like to mix H&M staples that can happily have raspberries squished into them, with smarter, still comfy, pieces for special days.

Clockwise from top left: striped long sleeve tee £3.99; red chinos £5.99; 5 pack of striped socks £3.99; navy hoodie £5.99 – all hm.com

I cannot champion H&M’s organic cotton pieces enough. They wash well, are the softest, thickest cotton and are generously cut so fit CB’s long body.

Clockwise from top left: wide striped tee £15; Melange knit sweater £27; bobble hat £15; bubble knit jumper £27 – all cosstores.com

I’d quite like this little edit for my own wardrobe! It’s CB’s first season in COS clothes so we’ll have to see how they wear but I love their clean lines and grown up clothes for little people.

Boden has seriously come up trumps this season for little boys. How cute is the Pelican jumper?!

Clockwise from top left: chunky cords, £24; Pelican jumper, £26; Flannel all in one, £20; Snow suit, £38 – all boden.co.uk

We took delivery of the striped snowsuit last week and it looks fab: fleece lined, detachable booties so you can swap them for wellies when they start walking and intergrated mittens. I’ll take some snaps when Country Bebe starts wearing it this winter.

Next up, a few new additions to my own autumnal wardrobe…
