So, I’m no fashion blogger – or dresser, I’ll be honest. But this coming season I cannot get enough PLAID. Plaid, checks, tartan…. I love it! (Elle have done a great trend report, if you want to see how it was worn on the catwalk). While this tartan Marc by Marc Jacobs 40s-style beauty is just a tad out of my league, it hasn’t stopped me splurging on the high street…
To stay on the fashionable side of lumberjack, I’ll be teaming the Zara number with black cigarette pants, heels and an oversized slouchy clutch for work (a clashy print perhaps? Leopard?).
I’ll also be pairing these bold trousers with a slouchy waffle-knit black sweater and my wedge black suede ankle boots.
As a more subtle nod to this season’s trend, I am itching to snap up this blazer in the ASOS sale:
Again, with a black tailored trouser, heels and a Splendid luxe tee.
