A few ideas to boost your immunity this winter

I’ve already been floored by a cold this autumn and realised I need to up my line of defence as Mummies don’t have time to get ill.

I’ve changed my habitual 6 cups of peppermint tea a day for Dr. Stuart’s echinacea plus:

An easy switch but one that should give my immune system a little boost.

I picked the brains of Victoria Health’s online chat support (amazing BTW, instant on hand support when I had no idea what I was looking for) and they suggested adding this tincture to my daily water intake (significant research has proven the astragalus root has properties that help ‘anti-age’ the immune system):

Again, a super simple addition that takes two seconds but will have a huge impact on my winter health.

P.s. VH’s pharmacist, Shabir Daya has done this great post about boosting your immunity this winter.

I’ve also added a glass of Pomegreat juice to my breakfast.

A MEGA dose of antioxidants to help not only my general health, but my skin too; which always takes a nose dive at this time of year. It’s important to look for a pomegranate juice that contains the whole fruit as the good stuff is found in the husk and the skin. This one is great, not too sweet but not as dry as cranberry.

So that’s it, a few little tweaks to my daily routine that I hope will help keep me in tip-top condition through the coming season.
