Happy Easter all. We’re just frantically throwing the contents of the house (jug blender and all) into the car and heading off to Somerset for a 5 day break at the in-laws.
Unfortunately that’s not their Stately, it’s Montacute House near Yeovil, but they do live just out of shot in the village. You might recognise the long drive from Sense & Sensibility?
There will be a *LOT* of eating (we are having a full Christmas Dinner on Sunday!), Claret-induced snoozes by the woodburner and walks through the parkland of the Big House.
The in-laws’ house is so old, the walls are too thick to let mobile signal/internet penetrate. While it gives me twitchy fingers for about 5 mins it is the perfect excuse to be uncontactable and virtually ‘switched off’. Who knows, I might even finish my tapestry.
